The Preparatory Stage spans three years and builds upon the play-based, discovery-oriented, and activity-based approach of the Foundational Stage. During this stage, students gradually transition to more formal but interactive classroom learning.
The curriculum aims to lay a solid groundwork across various subjects, including:
Reading, Writing, and Speaking: Developing language skills.
Physical Education: Focusing on fitness and well-being.
Art and Languages: Encouraging creativity and cultural understanding.
Science and Mathematics: Introducing basic concepts.
In addition to the curriculum, the children are motivated to live and work toward the development of a fraternal society and are educated to become more responsible and independent adults.
This stage bridges the gap between early childhood and primary education, fostering a holistic learning.
There are three terminal examinations conducted for these students.
They are:
First Terminal: 20 and 80 marks written (April to September)
Project work is conducted either in groups or individually.
Second Terminal: 20 marks unit test and 80 marks written (October to March)
Aural and Oral skills in English are given top priority.
