High School

The ICSE syllabus pattern is followed at the High School level so as to prepare them for the Board examination. The children here are trained to face the fast changing scenario of the Universe and the challenges awaiting them outside the gates of St. Agnes.

Class room teaching and learning is given prime importance. A lot of emphasis is given to self study and do away with tuitions outside the class rooms.

There are projects conducted on every Saturday and these projects are evaluated by the external examiners. The marks are sent to the council as internal assessment marks out of 20 for every subject. The projects are all application based and are done in school itself. The students bring material and matter from home and based on the questions given put them together.

Pattern of Examination:

First Terminal           : 20 marks and 80 marks written (April to July)

Second Terminal      : 20 marks and 80 marks written (August to November)

Selection Examination: 20 marks (project work) and 80 marks written (January)

There is also a practice examination conducted on the ICSE pattern to give writing practice for the students of Class X appearing for the Boards.

The Board Examination commences during the last week of February and ends in the last week of March.

Aural and Oral skills in English are given top priority.
